The first step in registering your software licences is the registration of your organisation. This happens as part of the process, the first time you register a Crocodilia subscription or a Crocodile simulator licence.
You need only do this once.
When registered, you can log in to the site and register further simulator serial numbers or Crocodilia subscriptions.
If you only have one serial number, skip to the next section.
If you have serial numbers for both a Crocodilia subscription and a Crocodile simulator licence, it is possible to register these in any order. However, we recommend you register the simulator licence first.
If you have serial numbers for both a Concurrent User Licence, and one or more Concurrent User Licence Extensions, you should register the Concurrent User Licence first.
First time registration consists of the following steps:
Open the Crocodilia home page.
Click 'Register Serial Number'
Enter your serial number.
You will be asked to provide your organisation's address, to see if someone else has already registered your site.
If no match is found in the Crocodilia database, you will be asked to provide further information about your organisation, in order to register a new site.
At the end of the registration process, you will be provided with:
A username and password for your 'administrator' account.
Use these details to log in from the Crocodilia home page.
Licence Details [Simulator licence registrations only]
If you have registered a simulator licence, you will also be shown a Licensee Name and Licence Code.
You can enter these details into your software to get started straight away!.
However, if you have any licence extension serial numbers to register, log in and register those first. These licence details will be updated to reflect the change in user entitlement.
As a final step, the first time you use the administrator log in details, you will be asked to provide contact information for the administrator.
This allows you to nominate your school's IT Adminstrator or other member of staff as the Crocodilia administrator for your organisation.
In order to accurately maintain information about your software licences, we need to know about your existing software.
The first time you register a concurrent user extension, or access an upgrade through Crocodilia, you will be asked to supply the information from the 'About Box' of your existing software installation.
This forms the basis for your software licence. For example, if your current licence represents a 10-User licence, and you register the serial number from a 5-User extension, then your new licence will be calculated as a 15-User licence.
You will only have to enter this information once for each piece of software (Crocodile Physics, Crocodile Chemistry etc). The system will remember this information the next time you register a product serial number.
Keeping your software licence in sync with new upgrades is easy with Crocodilia. Whenever a new upgrade is released, Crocodilia will automatically register your organisation for it, updating your licence information.
You simply navigate to the Downloads area, select 'School Upgrade', and your Licensee Name and Licence Code will be available, along with the option to download the corresponding upgrade installer.
Once you have registered for Crocodilia, you can log in to the portal from the front page. Once logged in, you can navigate to the 'Admin' area by clicking the appropriate tab at the top of you screen. From here you can navigate to your 'Licence Details' by selecting the button in the menu on the left hand side.
This page shows you a table of your current software licences, provides access to licence codes and allows you to register further serial numbers.
